Mi5 Summer Internship Program 2026

Program Overview:

• Offered annually for university students in their penultimate or final year.
• Open to individuals from a Black, Asian or ethnic minority background and from a socially or economically disadvantaged background, aiming to improve representation within MI5.
• Duration: 11 weeks, either June-August or July-September (dependent on chosen agency).
• Locations: London (MI5 & MI6), Cheltenham (GCHQ).

Responsibilities:

• Varied tasks depending on chosen agency and assigned project. Potential activities include:
  • Assisting with investigations and research related to national security threats.
  • Contributing to intelligence analysis and reporting.
  • Supporting operational teams in various capacities.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities.
