Responsibilities

• Contribute to Mixmag’s digital presence by writing news and features for Mixmag.net
• Collaborate with the social media team to craft engaging content for various platforms
• Brainstorm and pitch innovative ideas for written, video, social media, and audio content
• Leverage your knowledge of dance and electronic music to curate content and identify artists for coverage
• Gain valuable experience working directly with Mixmag’s editors and learn the ropes of music media and the music industry

Requirements

• A burning passion for digital media, music journalism, and especially dance music
• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate with a journalism degree, NCTJ qualification, or relevant experience in music journalism, digital media, and social media
• Proficiency in using photo editing software like Photoshop and video editing software like Premiere Pro
• Experience with content management systems is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, SoundCloud, and YouTube
• A go-getter attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• A creative mind brimming with innovative ideas to elevate Mixmag’s digital content
